     Pastor Owens received a CALL to preach the gospel at the age of eleven and always knew what his goal for ministry was while growing up. As a youth minister throughout his teenage life he took CHRIST to the lost beginning with street ministry and evangelism. He certainly feels that the call to the ministry led him directly to lost souls. His idea to reach them was to go to them and tell them what God’s word says and give them an opportunity to receive Christ before it was too late.

     Pastor Owens was raised in the city of Camden and has graduated from Camden High School in 1984. He was ordained an Elder in the church in 1986 in Bethel Church. Later joined in Highway Church of Christ and made overseer of the Pennsylvania District in 1988. Elder Owens assisted other Pastors before becoming a pastor. He served in Woodbury, at the St. Mark, Highway Church of Christ in 1995. He served with First Holiness COGIC in 2002 until 2006 when becoming a pastor. He served as the Second Assist District Superintendent in the Living Dimensions District of the Church of God in Christ in 2007. He received a Bachelor degree from Grace Hill Bible College in 2009, and an additional Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University 2015, and Master of Divinity in Theology in 2018.

     Pastor Owens has been Founder and Pastor of “Promise of Deliverance Ministries” since 2006, and endeavors to follow the plan and purpose of God for winning the lost. He believes in making the necessary sacrifices to encourage Christian living among all believers so that God will be pleased with the conduct and character of every Christian representative or Christian ambassador in the world.

     Pastor Owens believes in the fellowship of all believes no matter what denomination attached. Since the Reformation the church at large has experienced change that results in diver denominations. Since the Azusa Street experience in the early 1900’s, the entire church world has been effected in a positive way with the Charismatic Movement that the Pentecostal Church has left as a mark around the world and especially in the United States.

     Pastor Owens believes in the LOVE of God that must affect the lives of every believer in order to demonstrate he or she is of Christ. If you cannot love you are not of Christ, for God is love. If you cannot forgive you cannot be forgiven. He believes God gave us all a second chance through forgiveness of sins. He believes the church is a place for deliverance, because with God all things are possible. His prayer and earnest desire for the people is that they might be saved.
